Armando Ortuno, raised in Wilmington, CA, is an actor, vocal artist, and musician. He has been acting professionally since 2021, but he has had a love of performing his entire life. After graduating from the Actors Giving Back program, he studied one on one with Kate Melton and had sessions with Howard Fine Acting Studios in Los Angeles. He has performed in over 5 short films at prestigious universities including UCLA, USC, and UC San Diego. Armando is currently working on two feature films titled La Otra Mujer (2023) and Catrina (2023), both of which require fluent Spanish speaking. His most recent completed project, Fight for Love (2023), required weapons training.
Armando is highly proficient in singing, playing guitar, and is constantly building his musical skills. He has performed in numerous events around Los Angeles. He was a member of the Mighty Marching Pilots, an HBCU-based marching band from 2014-2018. As a member of the Mighty Marching Pilots, he had the honor of performing at the largest music center in Los Angeles, The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and appeared on Telemundo 52 and ABC showcasing his musical forte.
In Armando’s free time, he volunteers with the Los Angeles Fire Department, serving his community as a cadet, and as a Wildland Firefighter for Mountain Recreation and Conservation Authority Fire. He also enjoys performing weekly at his church, and doing Muay-Thai kickboxing.
